Ecotherapy
I offer Ecotherapy from April to November in High Bradfield, Bolsterstone and Whitwell Moor, all just north of Sheffield, UK.

"... going out I found was really going in." John Muir
Experience and research indicates that nature has a therapeutic impact on those that engage with it. This is the case whether interaction is passive or active. Being in the countryside as the setting for your therapy will give you the opportunity to relate either directly or indirectly with the landscape around you as part of your healing process - whatever the issue.

Eco-anxiety
If you are experiencing eco-anxiety then it makes sense to explore your thoughts and feelings around this in an outdoor space. Anxiety around the climate crisis and its impact is very real and valid. You can talk freely and openly about these issues within ecotherapy with me without the fear of being judged or of having your perspective belittled or dismissed.
Eco-practice
I can help you to develop your own 'eco-practice' in order for you to put into action more of your values and the sensitivity you hold towards the environment. Although this will not resolve the impact our consumerist society is having on the planet globally it could be a small step towards easing the problem within your immediate area. You can discuss and develop with me any action steps you might want to take regarding this very concerning issue. This will also help to nurture your own relationship with the environment and possibly a specific place that is dear to you.

The locations we can visit have been risk assessed to ensure your safety as far as possible.
**Please wear weather and terrain appropriate clothing and footwear.
